Heritage Woolstore Structural Investigation
Full structural investigation of a 1920s heritage-listed woolstore converted to residential apartments. The body corporate reported cracking in concrete columns and spalling on the ground floor car park soffit. Investigation revealed chloride-induced corrosion from the original wharf environment, compounded by carbonation in the upper floors. GPR mapping confirmed reinforcement layout deviated from available drawings, and core testing returned compressive strengths 30 percent below the design assumption.

Post-Fire Industrial Warehouse Assessment
Emergency assessment of a 4,000 square metre industrial warehouse following a major fire event. The insurer required an independent structural assessment to determine the extent of fire damage to the concrete tilt-panel structure and steel roof framing. UPV testing mapped concrete quality degradation across all fire-affected panels. Thermography identified hidden delamination in panels that appeared sound visually. Core testing confirmed compressive strength reduction in the fire-affected zone.

Bridge Substructure Condition Assessment
Condition assessment of reinforced concrete bridge substructure elements including piers, headstocks, and abutments. The bridge was approaching its 40-year design life and required assessment for life extension. Half-cell potential mapping identified active corrosion zones concentrated on the tidal splash zone of piers. Chloride profiling and durability modelling predicted remaining service life for each element, informing a prioritised maintenance programme.

High-Rise Facade Defect Investigation
Investigation of widespread tile delamination and concrete spalling on a 32-storey residential tower. Infrared thermography from ground level identified 2,400 square metres of delaminated tiles across all four elevations. GPR scanning of balcony slabs revealed reinforcement cover deficiencies averaging 15mm against the 40mm design requirement. The body corporate used our report to pursue a defect claim against the original builder.

Multi-Level Car Park Concrete Deterioration
Investigation and remediation design for a 6-level commercial car park exhibiting extensive concrete spalling, reinforcement corrosion, and water ingress. Half-cell potential mapping across all levels identified that 35 percent of the slab soffit was in active corrosion. Chloride profiling confirmed contamination from road salts tracked in by vehicles. The investigation informed a staged remediation programme with cathodic protection on the most affected levels.

Retaining Wall Collapse Investigation
Forensic investigation of a 4-metre high reinforced concrete retaining wall that collapsed during a heavy rainfall event. The wall supported a residential property above a lower neighbour. Investigation revealed the wall was designed without adequate drainage, had insufficient reinforcement for the retained height, and lacked a toe key. The failure mechanism was a combination of hydrostatic pressure build-up and sliding failure at the base.

Strata Complex Storm Damage Assessment
Independent structural assessment of a 12-unit strata complex following a severe storm event. The insurer initially assessed damage as cosmetic. Our investigation identified structural damage to roof trusses, water ingress through displaced ridge capping, and secondary moisture damage to ceiling and wall framing detected by thermography. The assessment separated storm-caused damage from pre-existing maintenance items.

Adjacent Property Monitoring During Excavation
Pre-construction dilapidation survey and ongoing monitoring of 4 adjacent properties during a 3-level basement excavation in Brisbane CBD. Installed vibration monitors, tiltmeters, and crack displacement sensors on all neighbouring buildings. Real-time cloud dashboard with automated DIN 4150-3 threshold alerts provided continuous protection throughout the 14-month excavation programme.

School Building Portfolio Condition Assessment
Condition assessment of 14 school buildings across 3 campuses ranging from 1960s construction to 2005. The education department required a prioritised maintenance programme and 10-year capital works forecast. Investigation identified critical corrosion in coastal campus buildings, structural cracking in 1970s precast elements, and waterproofing failures in multi-level blocks.
