IRTNon-Destructive Testing
Infrared Thermal Camera
Radiometric thermal cameras detect surface temperature variations caused by subsurface defects. Delaminations, voids, moisture zones, and insulation deficiencies produce thermal signatures invisible to the naked eye.
Modern cameras detect temperature contrasts below 0.05 degrees Celsius (50mK NETD). Surveys cover thousands of square metres of facade in a single day from ground level, without scaffold.
Surveys require controlled thermal conditions: clear sky, low wind, and solar heating or cooling phases for maximum thermal contrast between defective and sound areas.
Applications
- 01Facade tile and render delamination detection
- 02Moisture ingress path mapping
- 03Building envelope thermal performance audit
- 04Flat roof membrane leak detection
- 05Insulation deficiency identification
- 06Post-repair bond verification
